We absolutely loved staying at this property with the beautiful gardens and stunning view. After arriving late at night, we knew we were in a little bit of paradise. Waking up to that view and the birds singing in the mornings was heaven. the hosts were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even provided us with food and wine to get us started and fresh fruit from their own garden. the property had two pools and the upgrade to a bigger apartment was a bonus. It was also conveniently located near the city center with easy parking nearby. the classic quinta-style building held the cool air well.
This property is very special and we will definitely be back. Cons: There was nothing we didn't like 😊.

Traditional apartment, has stunning setting just next door to a shop and bakery as well as the centre. They have included coffee/tea making equipment, multi-channel TV, and a dining area. You can cook your food in kitchenette. There is a nice pool. I greatly enjoyed the place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a unique and charming Quinta in Funchal. The grounds were beautifully maintained, offering a tranquil escape in the heart of the city. The large balcony provided breathtaking views of Funchal and the harbor. The swimming pool was well-kept and provided a comfortable spot to relax with plenty of recliners. The historical significance of the Quinta, combined with the loving restoration by Helena and Roberto, made for an unforgettable experience. If you appreciate a special and authentic atmosphere, intertwined with Funchal's hospitality history, I highly recommend this hotel.
Totally recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at a small angle of paradise, the Purple Studio. The individual area was fantastic, with breathtaking views and beautifully set gardens. The accommodation was thoughtfully set out, with a huge firm bed and a well-equipped kitchen area. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the starry nights in the side studio. The Quinta had been restored to its magical appearance, and we enjoyed having the pool to ourselves. The owners were fantastic and offered us a private tour of the main Quinta. Cannot wait to come back!
100% Recommend this hotel.

The apartment was well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden outside was beautiful, even in January. The swimming pool, although not used during my stay, would be a great addition in warmer weather. The location of the hotel was perfect, situated in the old town with easy access to busses and the city center. It was only a 20-minute walk to the main attractions. The nearby local restaurant and bakery were also highlights, offering delicious food and fresh bread for breakfast.
It would have been great to have the room cleaned at least once. the uphill walk back to the hotel from the main area was extremely steep and challenging, especially for those who are not used to uphill climbs.

The balcony with scenic views of the sea was absolutely stunning! I couldn't get enough of the breathtaking vista. As a nature lover, it was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of Madeira.
Personally, I found the soundproofing a bit too effective. I enjoy the lively vibe of Funchal and felt slightly disconnected from the energy outside.
